The Prodigal Son

Hi Folks,
My daughter showed me how to use a blog. Honestly I do know it is the 21st century!!!!

In the Prodigal Son I used to take the older brother's side . This probably says more about me than about the parable. However, I was thinking about the forgiveness of God and I thought about how people react to another human being when they know that they are liked. Their self worth grows and they feel secure. They want to do their best for that person. Why on earth do we (correction "I") find it so difficult to accept that the unconditional love and forgiveness of God is the real reason we should try to be as good as we can.

I also think that this particular parable has more layers than an onion!
